The program would enable students to use creativity with an artistic flair and integrate both into designs. The attire design and production concentration offers learning in the design and development of apparel goods, including aesthetics, forecasting, textile design, apparel design and construction techniques, production evaluation, and quality assessment, as well as the sourcing, mass production, and marketing of apparel goods for the identified target market. Upon completion, students would be enriched with performing business administration tasks, marketing products and supervising or working with design team members.
Degree requirements for this program are:
- The applicant applying for admission to BA/BSc (Hons) 4-years program must have passed his/her HSSC in First Annual Examination of the year of admission or in the preceding year of admission, with at least 50% marks.
The career opportunities in fashion designing start with an intern designer after completing the respective course and later enter into the higher stages of fashion industry. Fashion designing students can take up positions as fashion designers, fashion coordinators, stylists, merchandisers, textile analysts, pattern maker, production managers, production managers, store managers and fashion illustrated and fashion journalist.
