How To Apply
The application forms are available in the prospectus which can be obtained from any campus, or it can be downloaded from the university website. The admission form with the required prerequisites must be mailed to the office of Convener Admission Committee.
Biochemistry is a discipline that deals with the study of chemistry of bio-molecules, the reactions going on in the cell, their mechanism and detailed study: how and why these reactions happen, the production of energy in the form of ATP and the ways to utilize this energy. The BS (Hons) Biochemistry is a program that trains students, with the principles, concepts, techniques and applications involved in biochemistry. Students will gain an understanding of life, essential bio-molecules required for life, the processes involved in the production of energy, the mechanism for the survival of organisms, through the core courses of this degree program.
The graduates in Bio-Chemistry develop research and applied skills that have broad applications within a variety of industries. The degree in biochemistry also trains students for a wide variety of careers such as in Toxicology, Academics, Government Careers, Forensic Chemistry, Biotechnology, and Health Professions.
FSc (Pre-Medical/Pre-Engineering) from any Educational Board, or equivalent, with at least 60% marks and not over 23 years of age at the time of admission. (If an applicant is Hafiz-e-Quran, 20 marks will be added to their marks in FSc examination, however, the counting of 20 marks towards merit will depend upon the test conducted by the University.)
