Agricultural Engineering is becoming increasingly important with the growth of agriculture of highly automated methods of operation. Irrigation, drainage, flood and erosion control, as well as water supply are all areas which require the study of soil mechanics; movement of water through the soil, and design criteria for canals, ditches and dams. The focus of the program is in the dissemination of technology with special emphasis on interdisciplinary interface among the education, research and outreach activities with specific attention to the environmental and socio-economic considerations.
Degree requirements for this program are:
- BE (Agri) or equivalent.
The graduates of the degree are expected to take leadership role in the promotion of technological changes and their management for sustainable agriculture development in the country research and outreach activities by integrating technology, planning and management.
