This dynamic program spread over four years, provides students with a vast exposure to the various genres of literature starting from the Middle Ages till the present time. It includes works of writers from all over the globe of all nationalities, with emphasis on post-colonial, sub-continental, and African American writers. The course is innovative and demanding with in depth analytical readings and written work on selected texts.
Degree requirement for this is:
- FA/FSc Part-I with minimum 60% marks OR A-level in three subjects (main subjects no subsidiary) with minimum Grade B (60%) with Equivalence Certificate OR Grade 12 with minimum Grade B (60%) with Equivalence Certificate OR any equivalent examination.
- The NAT conducted by the National Testing Service with a minimum 50% cumulative score.
English graduates find opportunities with many different employers. Public and private sector organisations such as the National Health Service (NHS), educational institutions, local and national government, financial and legal firms, and voluntary and charitable organisations employ English graduates in a range of roles, including administration, research, finance and general management. Other typical employers include publishing companies, advertising, marketing and public relations agencies and media organisations.
