The Public Administration major is designed for students interested in the management of public organizations or nonprofit institutions. This program explores government and political theory, budgeting and financial management, statistics, organizational dynamics, and theories of management. Students completing the Public Administration major also understand the information systems/networks that are becoming increasingly a part of public delivery management.
Degree requirements for this program are:
- Intermediate with at least 45% marks. Candidates with intermediate in Arts subjects should have studied a subject of social sciences as one of the electives.
This program provides aspiring civil servants a solid foundation through which they can appear in the highly competitive Central Superior Services (CSS). This program also allows them to join the corporate sector, in segments that often need to interact with the government. Students, after the completion of their BS Public Administration programme, can also go on to pursue postgraduate degrees in Public Administration.
