Zoology, or animal biology, is the branch of biology that relates to the animal kingdom, including the structure, embryology, evolution, classification, habits, and distribution of all animals, both living and extinct. A zoology degree introduces students to a range of concepts in animal anatomy, genetics and physiology and to study the structure, behavior and evolution of various species.
Degree requirement for this is:
- FA/FSc Part-I with minimum 60% marks OR A-level in three subjects (main subjects no subsidiary) with minimum Grade B (60%) with Equivalence Certificate OR Grade 12 with minimum Grade B (60%) with Equivalence Certificate OR any equivalent examination.
- The NAT conducted by the National Testing Service with a minimum 50% cumulative score.
The professional training of a Zoology graduate may lead on the way to diverse destinations in various professions like teaching in academia, research at several public and private sector organizations, the posts of researchers and administrator in the Health, Fisheries, Livestock and Agricultural Departments and Pest Control industry, etc.
