The degree in physics is designed to provide a thorough foundation in the field of physics together with considerable background in mathematics.
Degree requirement for this is:
- FA/FSc Part-I with minimum 60% marks OR A-level in three subjects (main subjects no subsidiary) with minimum Grade B (60%) with Equivalence Certificate OR Grade 12 with minimum Grade B (60%) with Equivalence Certificate OR any equivalent examination.
- The NAT conducted by the National Testing Service with a minimum 50% cumulative score.
The Physics program prepares students for post-graduate study and jobs in education. It will provide training in quantitative thinking, problem solving, modeling, and experimental techniques. Typical careers for the gradates include, but are not limited to Geophysicist, field seismologist, Higher education lecturer, Radiation protection practitioner, and Research scientist (physical sciences).
