Electrical technology deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Electrical Engineers design and build communication systems such as mobile phones and computer networks, design microelectronic silicon chips that are at the heart of modern computing devices, develop biomedical devices and instrumentation to saves lives and advance new ‘green’ technologies that will power our homes and industries while protecting the environment.
Degree requirements for this program are:
- FSc (Pre-Engineering) with minimum 50% marks or DAE in relevant field.
The program in Electrical technology covers a range of sub-disciplines including those that deal with power, optoelectronics, digital electronics, analogue electronics, artificial intelligence, control systems, electronics, signal processing and telecommunications.
