Veterinary medicine is the branch of science that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease, disorder and injury in animals. The scope of veterinary medicine is wide, covering all animal species, both domesticated and wild, with a wide range of conditions which can affect different species.
Degree requirements for this program are:
- FSc (Pre-medical) with minimum 2nd Division. NAT conducted by NTS is mandatory. Admission would be decided on merit on the basis of 80% marks in FSc (Pre-Medical) and 20% score in NAT.
Graduates of Veterinary Science are in demand in the following job markets: Poultry and Livestock Institutes, Livestock and Dairy Development Departments, Biological Product Units, Poultry & livestock Extension Department, Disease Diagnostic Laboratories, Zoological gardens, Public and private sector universities, NGO(s), Agro-livestock based Government organizations etc., Quarantine Department, and Banks.
