Political science is a social science discipline concerned with the study of the state, nation, government, and politics and policies of government. Aristotle defined it as the study of the state.It deals extensively with the theory and practice of politics, and the analysis of political systems and political behavior, culture. Political scientists "see themselves engaged in revealing the relationships underlying political events and conditions, and from these revelations they attempt to construct general principles about the way the world of politics works.
Degree requirements for this program are:
- A candidate seeking admission to the Bachelor of Science (BS) Program must have passed the examination shown in prospectus against each course or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto from a recognized institution securing g at least 45 % marks in intermediate or equivalent examination excluding marks awarded for NCC and Hafiz-e-Quran; provided further that the requirement of minimum marks may be amended from time to time by the competent body of the university. A candidate for admission has no limit on age.
The Bachelor of Arts in Political Science teaches students to read intelligently, think analytically, write clearly, accurately assess past trends, rationally predict future developments, and understand the real world. Good preparation at the high-school level should include courses in American history, world history, civics, and geography; four years of English, math, and science; a foreign language; and as much reading and writing as possible!
