Construction engineering is a professional discipline that deals with the designing, planning, construction, and management of infrastructures such as highways, bridges, airports, railroads, buildings, dams, and utilities. The four-year curriculum leading to the Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering enables the graduate to enter professional practice as an engineer or to continue his or her studies in programs leading to advanced degrees. Courses offered are related to construction, civil engineering, with other engineering courses. A final year project is also a part of the curriculum.
Degree requirements for this program is:
- HSC (Pre-Engineering) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 60% Aggregate Marks.
The applications of Construction Engineering are similar to those of Civil Engineering. Roles are available in both engineering organisations and other industries. Civil engineering graduates are also valued in commercial and corporate sectors such as finance, banking and accountancy. Your degree would be of great value in operational management, supply chain management, procurement, intellectual property, logistics and after-sales management.
