Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Electrical Engineers design and build communication systems such as mobile phones and computer networks, design microelectronic silicon chips that are at the heart of modern computing devices, develop biomedical devices and instrumentation to saves lives and advance new ‘green’ technologies that will power our homes and industries while protecting the environment.
Degree requirements for this program are:
- FSc (Pre-Engineering)/equivalent with minimum 60% marks.
The program in Electrical engineering covers a range of sub-disciplines including those that deal with power, optoelectronics, digital electronics, analogue electronics, artificial intelligence, control systems, electronics, signal processing and telecommunications.
