Food Science and Nutrition is an interdisciplinary degree that allows a student to pursue graduate studies in areas such as food microbiology, meat science and food chemistry, human nutrition and metabolism, food product development, and community nutrition. The curriculum focuses on developing professional skills and entrepreneurship.
Degree requirement for this is:
- FA/FSc Part-I with minimum 60% marks OR A-level in three subjects (main subjects no subsidiary) with minimum Grade B (60%) with Equivalence Certificate OR Grade 12 with minimum Grade B (60%) with Equivalence Certificate OR any equivalent examination.
- The NAT conducted by the National Testing Service with a minimum 50% cumulative score.
A degree in Food Science and Nutrition develops students for a career in the food industry, chain restaurants, five star hotels, catering institutions and research organizations.
