Admission form for the program can be downloaded from the university website. Completed form with required documents should reach the office of Director (Admin & Coord) by the due date, during office hours.
Respiratory therapists are medical professionals that care for patients who have breathing or cardiopulmonary problems. They work as a team with nurses and doctors as the specialists for respiratory care.
FSc (Pre-Medical) or FSc in relevant technology from a board of Intermediate & Secondary Education/equivalent (as determined by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen, Islamabad), with at least 50 % unadjusted marks.
A respiratory therapist will usually be found working in a hospital, but they can also work as home health care specialists traveling from house to house or they can be employed by a private clinic. Their main duties include performing diagnostic testing, conducting therapeutic treatments and supervising respiratory therapy technicians. They also will sometimes have to work in emergency situations when patients are having trouble breathing or need assistance from machinery in order to allow their respiratory system to properly function.
