The curriculum is specifically designed to introduce students to theories of psychology, procedures, and practices in the fields of child psychology, clinical psychology, counseling and guidance, educational psychology, industrial psychology, and Human Resource Management. It also enables the students to become proficient in Psychological testing and measurement, in using the computer applications in psychology and to conduct research.
Degree requirements for this program are:
- The applicant applying for admission to BA/BSc (Hons) 4-years program must have passed his/her HSSC in First Annual Examination of the year of admission or in the preceding year of admission, with at least 50% marks.
Studying a psychology degree fosters a valuable aptitude for work in both the science and arts fields. Jobs appropriate for a psychologist include those of Clinical psychologist, Educational psychologist, Further education lecturer, Higher education lecturer, Occupational psychologist, Sport and exercise psychologist, Careers adviser, Counselor, Human resources officer, Psychotherapist, and Retail manager.
