The four-year program starts with a foundation course for the first two semesters where students are introduced to the basics of Drawing, Sculpture, Design, and Drafting. In the second year, the students experience the four courses that the Fine Arts department offers as a major i.e. Painting, Sculpture, Miniature Painting, and Textile Design.
Degree requirement for this is:
- FA/FSc Part-I with minimum 60% marks OR A-level in three subjects (main subjects no subsidiary) with minimum Grade B (60%) with Equivalence Certificate OR Grade 12 with minimum Grade B (60%) with Equivalence Certificate OR any equivalent examination.
- The NAT conducted by the National Testing Service with a minimum 50% cumulative score.
Graduates of the degree in design will find their niche in a number of positions in the arts, design, and creative industry in general. They will be able to work as animators, ceramics designer, fashion designers, textile designers, illustrators, industrial and product designers, jewellery designers, interior designers, and photographers, among other placements.
