Admission form for the program can be downloaded from the university website. Completed form with required documents should reach the office of Director (Admin & Coord) by the due date, during office hours.
Optometrists and Orthoptists diagnose, manage and treat conditions and diseases pertaining to the human eye. Optometrists prescribe corrective lenses and provide treatment. Orthoptists specialise in treating incorrect eye movements.
FSc (Pre-Medical) or FSc in relevant technology from a board of Intermediate & Secondary Education/equivalent (as determined by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen, Islamabad), with at least 50 % unadjusted marks.
Optometrists and Orthoptists are medical specialist who advise patients on eye care and prescribe medication to treat eye infections or diseases. They also deal with other matters of human vision like prescribing, supplying, fitting and adjustment of eyeglasses and contact lenses. Typical job titles include Eye Specialist, Neuro-ophthalmologist, Ophthalmologist, Paediatric Eye Specialist, and Visual Rehabilitation Specialist.
