The program is developed precisely in response to the current proliferation of digital media and new interactive communication systems. Students will both study and produce systems of communications ranging from the text-based (including journalistic reporting, public discourse, and creative writing) to graphic communication, interactive web design, and camera-based media such as photography, film and video. The program takes students further into three streams: Media and Communication Studies, Communication Design, and Moving-Image Media Production.
Degree requirement for this program is:
- Successful completion of FA/ICS/ICOM/FSc/A Levels/High School Diploma, International Baccalaureate or equivalent qualifications.
The Social Development and Policy program combines a broad understanding of the arts, humanities, and social sciences with a focused inquiry into the dynamics of development and social change. Graduates of the program will find the fields of international development, public policy, social science research, and community engagement as natural fits in terms of their career choices. They will also be adept to pursue sectors as diverse as urban planning, environment and energy, public health, journalism, education, and historical preservation.
