PKR 21,000/- per Semester
Materials and Metallurgical engineering teaches production, processing, characterization, selection and design of materials and mixing metals together in order to form alloys which share the appropriate combination of traits such as strength and weight. The goal of the program is to find the right balance of properties such as weight, strength, hardness, toughness, and resistance to rust, fatigue, and extreme temperatures.
Degree requirements for this program are:
- Intermediate (Pre-Engg) Examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education of Pakistan or an equivalent examination so recognized by the university with at least 60% marks.
- Materials and metallurgical engineering graduates are engaged in a very wide range of industries, not only the materials-producing industries but also in all types of manufacturing industries, where materials are becoming an increasingly important factor in terms of the competitive edge of many products, the energy industry and other public utilities. Government research laboratories, research organisations and engineering consultancy companies also require a significant numbers of materials graduates for their on going research projects.
