The objectives of this course are to familiarize the student with the fundamentals of physical (biological) anthropology and principles of organic evolution, in relation to biology, ecology, and behavior of primates and fossil and living humans. The program will also address the dynamic interplay between archaeology and physical anthropology in the continuing refinement of our understanding of human origins.
Degree requirements for this program are:
- HSC with Pre-Engineering/Pre-Medical/General Science Group.
Graduates with an anthropology and archaeology degree are well-suited for a career in many number of fields, including education, health care, social work, international development, government, organizational psychology, non-profit management, marketing, publishing, and forensics. This program also forms the basis for Postgraduate degree in Anthroplogy and/or Archaeology.
