The subject of Pakistan Studies is interdisciplinary and encompasses various aspects of Pakistans history and culture. The main purpose of the discipline is to provide an in-depth understanding of Pakistan. The program therefore offers courses consisting of History, Politics, Geography, Economics, Foreign Relations, Sociology and Literature of Pakistan.
Degree requirements for this program are:
- FA/FSc or equivalent. Admissions will be preferred in the following order: FA with Pakistan Studies as a subject; FA with History as a subject; FA with Civics/Islamic Studies/Economics/Sociology/Physical Education as a subject; FA/FSc with any combination of subjects.
The subject is widely researched in and outside the country and multiple organizations are engaged in collaborative teaching, research, and exchange activities. Students will gain valuable skills in research and analysis, writing and public speaking, leadership, and conflict resolution. Job opportunities after completion of the program are as a lecturer, researcher, journalist, business and political advisor.
