Closely related degrees include the "Master of Finance and Economics" and the "Master of Economics with a specialization in Finance / Financial Economics".
Degree requirements for this program are:
- At least 'C' Grade or 50% in SSC, HSSC or equivalent examinations.
Graduates of this program have excellent career prospects. The program aims to train students for analytical jobs with potential employers such as investment and commercial banks, asset management companies, consulting firms, and policy-oriented organizations. The Master of Science in Financial Economics degree is designed for students who wish to pursue a more analytical and focused course of study in finance than that offered by Columbia Business School's MBA Program, but who also prefer a shorter and more industry-oriented experience than the School's Doctoral Program. Applicants who may also be considering MBA or PhD programs are encouraged to carefully review the academic differentials between the offerings to better understand the nature of preparation for post-program opportunities.
