The Department of Law (DoL) will offer a variety of academic programs in the field of law and legal studies. Initially an undergraduate 5-years law degree program is being started. Candidates wishing to pursue a degree in law must have completed A-Level / Higher Secondary School Certificate / Intermediate or equivalent qualification. (Please see the Eligibility Certificate). This course called LLB degree program will be a first degree in law spreading over ten semesters. After successful completion of the course, students will be awarded an LLB degree in accordance with requirements of the HEC and the PBC.
Degree requirements for this course are:
- Intermediate FA/ FSc/ Equivalent with 45% marks.
The study of law will help you to develop your powers of analysis, criticism, persuasion, problem solving, and oral and written expression. As well as providing a thorough understanding of the workings of the legal system, you will also have the opportunity to study a variety of subjects in-depth. Co-curricular activities allow you to actively engage with practical aspects of the law, from mooting and negotiation skills to pro bono work in the community. The benefits and skills acquired through the study of law extend not only to students wishing to pursue a Law career but also to those hoping to follow an alternative career path.
