The last decade has seen unprecedented innovation in the fields of communication, computation, interactivity, and information delivery. New media touch nearly all of us daily through online games, search engines, dynamic and personalized websites, high-definition home entertainment systems, handheld devices, and instant connectivity. Educators, advertising agencies, design studios, and a wide variety of industries use new media to reach targeted audiences for advertising, entertaining, training, business, and expressing creative ideas.Two huge underlying factors—Internet connectivity and computer processing—have dramatically transformed the media landscape. New media are dynamic, personalized, and connected. They change the way we learn, communicate, affiliate, and play. For the world to benefit from these changes there is a need for practitioners who can integrate evolving technologies with creative disciplines.
Degree requirements for this program are:
- Intermediate (minimum 50% marks, including first year, no supplementary) or A-Level (minimum 3 passes) or equivalent from a recognized institution. An entrance test and group discussion / interview will be given to all applicants at SZABIST
After this program students can work in Television, film, radio, print and online production, journalism, media law, marketing, advertising, teaching, communications, industry funding organizations, campaign or advocacy officer, media expert, policy and research officer (Government, business, academic, NGO).
