The B.A. in Humanities provides a strong pre-professional education in the liberal arts. Students acquire the writing, critical thinking, aesthetic, and analytical abilities required to pursue a graduate degree, or to advance in their career. The broad-based humanities curriculum encourages them to think in the cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary way needed to succeed in today's increasingly globalized business, cultural, and communication environments. Concentrations in art history, creative writing, and literature are available. Courses introduce students to the concepts, practices, methods, and theories specific to their field of concentration.
Degree requirements for this program are:
- A candidate seeking admission to the Bachelor of Science (BS) Program must have passed the examination shown in prospectus against each course or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto from a recognized institution securing g at least 45 % marks in intermediate or equivalent examination excluding marks awarded for NCC and Hafiz-e-Quran; provided further that the requirement of minimum marks may be amended from time to time by the competent body of the university. A candidate for admission has no limit on age.
The Bachelor of Humanities program is committed to undergraduate excellence, and a number of its distinctive features provide students with a leg up as they embark on rewarding career paths. In completing the B. Hum curriculum, students acquire the ability to analyze complex texts and ideas, and they work closely with faculty members in acquiring excellent research and writing skills. By attending weekly discussion groups, B. Hum students cultivate their communications skills and emerge as confident public speakers.
